Situated in López Allue Square, the museum is in the same building as the Huesca Tourism Office. On display there are old books, toys, world maps, notebooks, blackboards and in general all kinds of old teaching material from schools in the province of Huesca. It also has recreational classrooms with audiovisual productions that show how past generations used to study.

During the Christmas holidays there are many places in the province where traditional nativity scenes are on show, some of which are considered authentic gems of nativity scene art. In Huesca city, the scene created at the offices of the Diputación Provincial (the County Council) and the one from the Hermanitas de los Ancianos Desamparados (Little Sisters of the Abandoned Elderly). In the province, Monzón, Peralta de la Sal, Lagunarrota and Boltaña are must-sees. Other interesting nativity scenes are in Alcolea de Cinca, Almunia de San Juan, Binaced, Pomar, Esplús, Graus, Torreciudad, Barbastro, Fraga, Castillonroy, Azanuy and Tamarite de Litera.
