THE DIOCESAN CATHEDRAL MUSEUM

This is an old Gothic building which dates back to the 13th and 14th century. Its altarpiece is a superb example of Spanish Renaissance sculpture carved in alabaster by Damián Forment between 1520 and 1533, representing the Passion of Christ.

Next to the Cathedral, in which were the old cloisters, is the Diocesan Museum [Recommended for your trip itinerary] which houses an important collection of religious art and artifacts with as its highlights the alabaster altarpiece of Castle-Abbey of Montearagón which was constructed by Gil Morlanes the Elder (1445 - 1517)  in the early sixteenth century.
